I
love Sura Puttu (Shark Puttu), But for a change I used chicken mince, It’s simple
and tasty recipe.
- Chicken – 500 grams (mince)
- Garlic – 4 cloves (finely chopped-cube)
- Ginger 1 piece (finely chopped-cube)
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves – 2 sprig
- Dried Red Chili – 5-6
- Onion – 1 (finely chopped-cube)
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp (I used Rasam Powder)
- Coriander leaves – 2 sprigs (optional)
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – 2 to 3 tsp
Recipe:
1. Heat oil, Fry chopped ginger and garlic till the raw
smell goes. Than add chicken mince and fry until it is white. Stir constantly
on medium heat. White the cooking spoon break the mince meat chunk into small
pieces. Keep aside.
2. In a
kadai/ wok heat oil and once hot add the mustard seeds, cumin, and wait for it
to pop, then add Red chili, curry leaves and give it a good mix. Later add the
onions. Once the onions brown add the Turmeric powder and coriander powder,
salt and chicken. Keep mixing well until well combined.
3. Check for
salt. Lastly add some chopped coriander leaves and mix. Serve hot.
