Coconut Laddu

Coconut Laddu, Sweet for Diwali...


Looking for easy cooking recepi for diwali!  This coconut laddu recipe has only 2 key ingredients and takes not more than 15 mins to come together, so it's perfect for those looking for quick and easy sweet recipes for Diwali.

Ingredients :-

·        2 cups Grated Coconut + Coconut for
·        1 cup Condensed Milk 
·        1 tbsp Milk powder
·        ½ tsp cardamom powder (optional)
·        1 tbsp ghee
·        12 raw almonds, Chopped
     Heat the butter/ghee and toast almonds until golden. Drain and set aside.
     (I have replace the almonds with Dry Raisin)

Let's see how to prepare :-
  1. In a heavy bottomed pan, add ghee & then fresh coconut gratings. Roast for a minute.
  2. Add Milk maid and Milk Powder.
  3. Cook over low flame mixing it continuously for about 4-5 minutes. The coconut cooks in the condensed milk.
  4. Add cardamom powder and
  5. When the mixture leaves the sides of the pan, remove from flame & let it cool down for about 5-10 minutes.
  6. Apply ghee on your palm & shape the mixture into small laddu. 
  7. In a plate or any other flat base, add dried coconut & roll each laddu in it,
    so that the dry coconut coats well onto the laddu.
